In these photos I wanted to interact with the natural landscape. Using colored ropes and stones, I draw directly onto the landscape. For me this was both a celebration of a place as it is, and a way to spend time in that place before adding the ropes or stones.  The gesture is at once ceremonial, descriptive, and augments the nature of that setting.
